Summary
Latitude Digital is a provider of strategic technology for business. Using Flowfinity, Latitude builds applications for its customers to digitally transform their business processes.
For one of their customers, Ford Motor Company & Lincoln Motor Company, Latitude is responsible for custom apps used by event staff who showcase vehicles at 160 nationwide auto show exhibitions each year. To measure the success of each event, data is collected about the attendees, vehicles exhibited, competitors, and any areas of improvement.
"Flowfinity's no-code platform allows us to cost-effectively create business process applications to fit the specific needs of our clients," said Tony Gambee, Founder and President, Latitude Digital. "Data flow is critical. Using custom apps, workflows, and web services APIs, our customers can access the data they need, anywhere and anytime."
The Challenge
Latitude was looking for the best way to cost-effectively deliver digital solutions that eliminate manual processes for its clients. Customization was crucial. Manually coding every solution was expensive and took too long, and simple forms apps weren't flexible enough to meet their customers' workflow requirements.
For Ford Motor Company & Lincoln Motor Company, all field data needed to be secure and accurate, and paper forms would often get lost or be filled out incorrectly. The collected data also went through a multiple-review process. It was difficult to ensure the data was reviewed by the right individuals, in the right order.
Latitude went looking for a software platform they could use to meet the needs of its clients, with the right tools to digitize their whole data collection workflow.
The Solution
With Flowfinity's no-code platform, Latitude is able to quickly and easily build business process applications that cater to its clients' needs. Now, Ford Motor Company & Lincoln Motor Company collects valuable competitive information and evaluates the effectiveness of each event, with custom apps built by Latitude.
No coding required
"We can define what data needs to be collected and how the form should look first, then quickly produce it with the point-and-click app editor," said Gambee. "The app development cycle is very fast."
"We don't ever need to code. All the necessary fields for our clients' data collection needs are pre-built in Flowfinity," said Michael Grosvenor, Production Manager, Latitude Digital.

Instant, cross-platform updates
Making app updates is also an efficient process. As soon as a client requests a change, such as revising user instructions or dropdown lists, it can be made quickly in a point-and-click editor, and instantly published for all users. The updated apps automatically work across all smartphones and tablets, including iOS and Android.
"New fields are added and published within the same day the feedback is given. The changes are made seamlessly," said Grosvenor. Latitude is also able to modify an existing business app, without altering previous reports or data. This is helpful as app updates are regularly made to keep up with changing customer requirements.
Real-time reporting functionality
Latitude also leverages Flowfinity's extensive reporting features for its clients. Apps have automated email notifications, so staff are alerted immediately about specific business transactions, and provided the necessary details. These features are used with aggregate data reports, which are generated every day.
"Flowfinity stands out for its business workflow capabilities. It allows us to ensure critical data moves effectively through every step of our clients' business processes, from end users to upper management."
Collaborative application development
With Flowfinity's short app development cycles, Latitude is able to involve office and field teams throughout the entire process. Ford Motor Company & Lincoln Motor Company recently added reporting functionality for managers, a collaborative effort by management and end users. The new and improved applications were designed, tested, and rolled out successfully in just one month.
